Conspiracy

Silver gelatin photographic prints
2010

A series of six black and white photographs of ravens and magpies, each printed with heavy contrast and grain. Playing with ideas of sinister superstition surrounding birds, and considering folklore that ravens represent lost souls and magpies cause foreboding and worry, Conspiracy accentuates and agitates ominous nature. Who is being framed here? Birds, their spectators or the camera perhaps?
