As part of the ongoing Only In Askeaton video series produced by artist Michael Holly, Askeaton Contemporary Arts features American writer, art critic, activist and curator Lucy Lippard, a provocative international figure in the development of conceptual art. From her home in New Mexico, she joins curator Jo Melvin for a conversation on her life and work, divulging her encounters with Irish art and possibilities of a radical relationship between art and landscape. Her seminal 1983 publication Overlay and 1985 curated exhibition Divisions, Crossroads, Turns of Mind feature, alongside never-before heard audio of Seth Siegelaub (1941–2013), her confidant and a key proponent of conceptual art.
