Notes from the Belly of the Beast is a new collaborative text, co-written with Sean Lynch and published by Dundee Contemporary Arts as part of the exhibition If Wishes Were Thrushes, Beggars Would Eat Birds by Stuart Whipps in Autumn 2020.
Speaking to, thinking through, and stepping off from some of the ideas in Whipps’ exhibition, Notes from the Belly of the Beast draw together ruminations on global pandemics, sculptural reparations, mineral extraction and storytelling through exhibition-making, all to re-examine the makeup of the landscapes around us.
